An Opportunity for Taiwanese Young Professionals to Learn US Taiwan Policy in DC

Program Overview

Since 2010, FAPA has been organizing the FAPA Emerging Leaders Workshop every two years. This week-long Workshop invites outstanding Taiwanese young talents around the world to DC to learn about US-Taiwan-China relations and exchange views with each other. FAPA has cultivated more than 150 emerging leaders thus far, including Member of LY Wang Ting-yu, City Councilors Ying-meng Lin and Jiho Chang.

Program Fee

Free. FAPA will pay the accommodations and meals for the participants during the Workshop.

Ideal Candidates

We look for young professionals or students interested in International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy, Laws, Economics or related fields with excellent English proficiency. Professional experience will be considered an advantage. Ideal candidates will be young talents who are passionate about supporting U.S. Taiwan relations and determined to work in this field in the future.

Below is the course schedule from the 2019 FAPA Emerging Leaders Workshop. We covered the different perspectives of US-China-Taiwan triangular relations. We also managed to add the most updated topics, such as disinformation and US-China Trade War in the schedule. 

We will publish the course schedule of the 2021 workshop in May 2021.
