A Flag That Symbolizes Taiwan's Culture & Identity
Overview
Now that Taiwan is steadily on its way to becoming a fully independent sovereign normal country, it is time that the country’s flag represents that spirit of the people of Taiwan. Hence, FAPA is looking for your design ideas for a new flag that represents Taiwan’s subjectivity and identity.
Flag Design Principles
- Try to keep your design simple. Ideally, a child should be able to draw it from memory. Avoid designs that are too complicated and busy
- Ideally, images and colors should contain meaningful symbolism
- Use no more than 3 colors
- Avoid lettering
- Be distinctive with your design. Taiwan’s flag should stand out and be recognizable
- Ideally, flag designs should be iconic. To get an idea of what constitutes a good flag, please visit: https://nava.org/good-flag-bad-flag
