FAQs

Hotel Arrangements

What hotel arrangements does FAPA cover?

  • FAPA covers a shared double room (two beds) for two nights for each participant. Each participant will be assigned a roommate during the main conference programming on Saturday and Sunday nights.

Roommates

Will I have a roommate?

  • Yes. During the main conference programming, all participants will be assigned a roommate for Saturday and Sunday nights by default.

I would like to room with a specific person. How do I request a specific roommate?

  • If you would like to room with a specific person, please obtain their consent first.
  • Both participants should indicate each other’s names in the registration form.
  • If you plan to arrive earlier or stay beyond the main conference dates, you will be responsible for making your own room arrangements for those additional nights.

How do I request a private room with no assigned roommate? How do I pay?

  • If you would like a private room with no assigned roommate, please indicate this request in the registration form.
  • You will be responsible for the price difference. The rate is $306.11 per night for a standard room (discounted group rate plus tax).
  • Payment for the additional room cost should be made directly to the hotel at check-in.

Arriving Early or Staying Longer

I plan to arrive early and/or stay longer for the optional advocacy days. How do I reserve my room?

  • Participants are responsible for covering the cost of any additional hotel nights outside of the two nights covered by FAPA.
  • Please follow the steps below:
    • Step 1: Indicate your arrival and departure dates in the registration form.
    • Step 2: Pay the hotel directly at check-in for the additional nights.
  • The rate is $306.11 per night for a standard room (discounted group rate plus tax). Please indicate your additional nights as early as possible during registration, as hotel availability and the discounted group rate are not guaranteed due to the busy season.

Attending the Conference

Do I have to participate in all three days of the conference?

  • Yes. Full participation is required for the National Advocacy Conference (NAC). The ultimate goal of the conference is to visit Capitol Hill and make our voices heard, so all participants are expected to fully participate in all scheduled programming and congressional meetings.

What time will the conference end on Monday?
