Several Taiwanese civic groups have launched the Team Taiwan Campaign for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, calling for a referendum aimed at replacing the clumsy title of “Chinese Taipei” used at the Olympic Games and other international sporting events with the straightforward name “Taiwan.”

台灣民間團體發起「二○二○東京奧運台灣正名公投」，希望以「台灣」之名取代現今在奧會或許多國際比賽中拗口的稱謂；而在美國的台美人則發起將台灣政府在華府的「台北經濟文化代表處」正名為「台灣代表處」，不但顯示出台灣人的心聲，也是國際上的認同。

這次的台灣旅行法，不僅法律位階提高、兩黨高度共識，並已經在眾院無異議通過。在挺進參院委員會後，要完成立法就剩最後一步了。

We therefore recommend that the US administration dispatch US Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao (趙小蘭) to Taiwan to oversee US-Taiwan civil aviation cooperation, especially in areas where Taiwan and the US need to coordinate on ICAO standards and routinize information exchanges.

FAPA強烈建議美應派交通部長趙小蘭訪問台灣，監督美台民用航空合作，尤其是在台灣和美國需要協調ICAO標準和將訊息交流常態化的地區；甚至應考慮派駐一名交通官員駐台專司此職。一旦台海的現狀因此遭破壞，台北與華府都應該要立刻採取行動。
