About the Program

The 2025 Advocacy Captains Program will train community leaders nationwide in grassroots advocacy. We are looking for individuals who can: 

  • Organize and mobilize local chapter members for advocacy efforts. 
  • Dedicate time and effort to advocacy at the local, state, and federal level. 
  • Schedule and lead meetings with elected officials. 
  • Participate in in-district events hosted by Member of Congress (MoC) like attending town hall meetings. 
  • Communicate effectively with HQ and chapter members. 

By the end of the program, captains will know how to: 

  • Communicate legislative priorities to strengthen U.S-Taiwan relations. 
  • Lead and coordinate advocacy visits in district and D.C.

Workshops will occur on the third Thursday of each month.

Looking Ahead

This program seeks to connect advocates to strengthen U.S. Taiwan relations and eventually build a national network of advocacy captains. Most importantly, we will prepare you for our annual flagship program, the National Advocacy Conference (NAC), scheduled for September 12-15, 2025, with an optional day on September 16, 2025.
