By enacting a “TRA 2.0,” the US would reaffirm Taiwan’s dedication to democracy, and announce to the world that Taiwan has the right to exist and must be free from outside intimidation and interference.

美國前川普政府大力挺台，常態化對台軍售，公開否認中國對台主權，解除台美交往限制。檢視拜登新政府對台言行，明顯繼承川普之對台政策與遺產。在此基礎上，台美關係應能持續穩定發展。

An FTA would only come into effect after being approved by both houses of the US Congress and signed into law by the US president. It would be an official nation-to-nation agreement concluded by the US and Taiwan governments, giving it the force of a treaty under international law. The Taiwan government should strive to reach a Taiwan-US FTA that would serve both nations’ economic and strategic interests, and upgrade Taiwan’s international status.

ＰＲＣ從未取得台灣主權，亦不曾統治過台灣。唯有民選的台灣政府才具備國際上的「台灣代表權」，才能代表台灣參與世衛。此不僅攸關台灣民眾健康，亦是國際法法律戰與國際政治角力之問題。
