Inviting Taiwan’s President Tsai to Come to DC

  • Post category:Petition

(This Petition Is Closed)

This petition requests members of Congress to urge House Speaker McCarthy and Senate Majority Leader Schumer to invite Taiwan’s President Tsai to Washington DC.

On March 29, Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen will transit in New York on her way to Central America. On her way home one week later, she will transit in Los Angeles.

With the recent fifth anniversary of the Taiwan Travel Act having been signed into law on March 16, 2018, FAPA believes there are no restrictions on President Tsai coming to Washington DC during her time in the U.S.

This petition to your Representative and two Senators asks these elected officials to contact House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer to invite President Tsai to Washington DC; maybe to even address a joint session of Congress.
