2025 National Advocacy Conference

📅 Dates: Sept.13 – Sept.15, 2025
(optional day: Sept.16)

📍Location: Washington, D.C.

We are delighted to invite you to FAPA’s annual National Advocacy Conference (NAC).

The FAPA National Advocacy Conference brings the voices of FAPA members around the U.S. to our nation’s Capital. The NAC program is an opportunity to:
  • Learn about current U.S.-Taiwan bills going through Congress.
  • Make your voices heard with your Congressional Representatives and Senators.
  • Connect with FAPA advocates from across the country.

Program

Participants learn about grassroots advocacy strategies, U.S.-Taiwan policy, and FAPA’s issues of concern. After the two-day workshop, participants will apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired to advocate for bills to strengthen U.S.-Taiwan relations on Capitol Hill on Monday, September 15, and/or Tuesday, September 16.

  • 9/13 Saturday: Keynote Speaker and Banquet
  • 9/14 Sunday: Panels, Grassroots Advocacy Strategies, and Team Practice
  • 9/15 Monday: Congressional Advocacy Day!
  • 9/16 Tuesday (optional): Congressional Advocacy Day!*

*In response to the strong interest in previous years, we’re adding an optional second day of advocacy on Tuesday, September 16, for those who want to continue meeting with congressional offices.

FAQ

1. Can I request a single room? How do I pay?
Yes. FAPA covers a double room for two nights for each participant. If you would like to have a single room, FAPA will cover one night of your stay, and you will be responsible for covering the other night of the stay. You will pay at the counter when you check in.

2. I plan to arrive a day early to get ready for the conference. Can FAPA help arrange the accommodation?
Yes, we certainly can! You will have to be responsible for the cost of the night. Please indicate in the registration form if you have such a request.

3. Do I have to participate in all three days of the conference?
Yes. The ultimate goal of this conference is to visit Capitol Hill and make our voices heard, so it’s important that everyone participates fully.

4. What time will the conference end on Monday?
Depends on when your team’s meetings with the congressional office are.
