軍事協防之外，美國應重申台灣非中國領土，並承認台灣獨立現狀與國格
FAPA認為，美國在加強對台軍事承諾與合作的同時，亦應公開挑戰北京的「一中原則」，嚴正重申「台灣並非中國的一部分」；支持台灣人民擁有決定台灣地位與前途之自決權；並推動台美關係正常化，強化承認台灣主權獨立現狀及國格，最終實現台美正式建交。如此，才能有效對抗中國對台的軍事戰、法律戰、與外交戰。
